Registration and Expo area open at 7:00 AM followed by the Opening Ceremony at 7:45 AM and the Walk beginning at 8:15 AM.
After the walk, check out the fun activities for your kids at our Kids Zone. Learn about your heart health with free CPR demonstrations and blood pressure screenings.
Parking is free. The closest parking lot to the the Start / Finish and Expo area is accessible from 30th Street West. Additional parking is available at The Palmdale Amphitheater which is accessible from Rancho Vista Boulevard (Avenue P).

How long is the walk?
It is a 5k, 3.1 mile event
Can I run the route?
Yes, participants are more than welcome to run the route. We ask that you move to the front of the starting line so that you are ahead of the walkers.
The money raised through the Heart Walk funds research, and initiatives that promote the prevention, treatment and better patient care in the areas of cardiovascular disease, the leading killer in the United States. The American Heart Association is the nation's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to building healthier lives, free of heart disease and stroke.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are pets allowed?
Yes, leashed dogs are allowed. Please be a responsible pet owner: keep your pets on leashes at all times, clean up after them and if your dog does not do well in crowds or with other dogs, please consider leaving them at home. There will be thousands of people enjoying the festivities, so it is important do to what is best for your pet and everyone attending.
Will water be available?
Yes, there will be a water station along the walk route and within the festival area.

Where is First Aid?
First Aid assistance can be found at the Registration tent.
Are strollers allowed on the path?
Strollers are allowed, but please be advised that the pathway can get very crowded and it may be hard to smoothly navigate a stroller on areas that are dirt paths.
What if it rains on the day of the event?
The Heart Walk will go on rain or shine. In the event of severe weather conditions we will notify participants via the website about the status of the event.
