How long is the Walk?
The Heart Walk route is approximately 3 miles long. There is also a 1 mile route available.
The money raised through the Heart Walk funds research, and initiatives that promote the prevention, treatment and better patient care in the areas of cardiovascular disease and stroke, the #1 and #5 killers in the United States. The American Heart Association is the nation's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to building healthier lives, free of heart disease and stroke.
The VIP Tent is our exclusive space for Heart Walk participants who individually fundraise $1,000 or more. VIP members are the superstars who help us achieve our fundraising goal for the Greater Bay Area Heart Walks.
VIP walkers receive special benefits such as: 2 passes for the Top Walker and a friend to get into the exclusive VIP Tent, complimentary catered lunch, massages, 1 VIP swag bag, Heart Walk t-shirt, an invitation to the post-walk Award Celebration & more!
The survivor area will provide red caps for heart disease survivors, white caps for stroke survivors, and an opportunity for survivors to share their stories.
Why do you walk? Do you want to leave a long-lasting message? Make sure to visit and write your message at our Tribute Stations in the Heart Healthy Expo.
