How long is the Walk?
The Heart Walk route is approximately 3 miles long. There is also a 1-mile route available.
The money raised through the Heart Walk funds research, and initiatives that promote the prevention, treatment and better patient care in the areas of cardiovascular disease, the leading killer in the United States. The American Heart Association is the nation's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to building healthier lives, free of heart disease and stroke.
Due to changes in our event permit, NO MONEY (cash or checks) can be collected at the Heart Walk at Snow Park, Oakland. We will open our offices, where we will have AHA staff collecting cash and check donations.
The American Heart Association office is located at 426 17th Street, Ste 300, Oakland (between Broadway and Franklin). Metered street parking is available. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience, but ask that you plan ahead to turn your cash or check donations in early. Of course, you can continue to collect donations post-walk - your Team Captain will work with your AHA Staff Partner to collect any additional donations.
CLUB HEART (VIP Tent)
CLUB HEART is our exclusive club for Heart Walk participants who individually fundraise $1,000 or more. CLUB HEART members are the superstars who help us achieve our fundraising goal for the Greater Bay Area Heart Walks.

The survivor area will provide red caps for heart disease survivors, white caps for stroke survivors, and an opportunity for survivors to share their stories.
